about becca…

I started Becca Blackburn Photography in 2013 after dreaming for many years of being a professional photographer. I didn’t have kids at the time, but knew I loved photographing families. Since then, my husband, Andrew, and I have had two sweet and energetic boys (now ages 4 and 2), and I love photographing families even more than I did when I started.

When I photograph your family, part of me doing my job well is getting to know you. I want to understand your family dynamic and get to know your personalities, especially the personalities of your kids — the things they love and how they are uniquely made. I want to capture that in images for you to treasure for a lifetime.

I also love nature. There’s something about the golden glow of the sun or the beauty of a meadow that makes my heart come alive. Photographing the unique and beautiful love between a family within a setting like that is magical to me.

Each season of life with our children is full of beauty, and each one of our children is amazingly unique. From their hands wrapped around your neck to the way their eyes twinkle when they laugh, I want to capture true moments of you with your children so you can cherish these sweet things that pass by too quickly.

I am a photographer you can trust. I want you to be you, and I want your family to be themselves. You were knit together beautifully, and photographing the authentic and unique bond between you is my goal. It is always my hope that you’ll leave our time together smiling.

A few things about me:

• I love being outside. My family and I spend as much time outside as possible — going on walks, playing in our backyard or swinging on our porch swing.

• I love traveling with my husband. We just recently went on our first big trip without children along, and it was refreshing in so many ways. We’re already talking about our next one!

• If I had an open afternoon, I’d choose to work out, go shopping, grab coffee with a friend or go on a picnic and soak up some sun.

• I love tea.

• My faith is a deep part of who I am. Creation reminds me of God’s deep love for us, which is one reason I love being in it.

I’d love to photograph you and your family soon. Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions, or if you’d like to schedule a session!
